JenCam

JenCam GmbH was founded in Jena in 2001 by Dipl.-Ing. Horst Gottschall. Originally started as a supplier of fiber optic based components for remote sensing, the company was able to gain Uwe Jatzkowski as second managing director in 2002.

In the following years, JenCam successfully established itself as an official Sony distributor for industrial cameras. The product portfolio was continuously expanded to cover all areas of industrial image processing. In 2005, the production of telecentric optics and illumination for printed circuit boards started, followed by the supply of the automation and medical technology industry.

Thanks to continuous growth, JenCam GmbH recorded annual sales of 10 million euros for the first time in 2015. In 2018, the company became an official distributor for Lucid Vision.

Since 2019, JenCam GmbH has been led by Dr.-Ing. Thomas Gottschall and Dr. rer. nat. Stefan Mühlig, who inspire the team to extraordinary achievements with innovative corporate management. In 2021, for example, a modification of the renowned Sony Alpha series was developed for industrial use, marking another milestone in the company's history.

The continuous success story of JenCam GmbH continued in 2022, when the production of the impressive number of 20,000 telecentric illuminators of a specific design was carried out. This success once again underscores the innovative strength and dedicated work of the entire team. With the production of the 10,000th ring light of a specific design, another significant step was successfully completed in 2023.

JenCam GmbH looks back proudly on its history and remains committed to providing excellent and innovative image processing solutions for industry.
